What this check shows

  • Every location Google Maps shows for your brand, with its star rating and review count.
  • The spread: your best and worst location side by side. Customers see the location near them, not your brand average.
  • Your three weakest locations, so you know where to start.
  • How many 5-star reviews each location needs to reach 4.5★.
  • Your industry's median from our own study, and how many of your locations sit under it.

How we find your locations

We search Google Maps for your brand (and city, if you give one) and read up to 60 places. We keep places that have your brand in their name and list your website, list no website, or start their name with your brand. Places that closed for good are left out. If you type your website, we keep the places that list it.

How many 5-star reviews does a location need to reach 4.5★?

Take the review count n and the rating r: new 5★ reviews = n × (4.5 − r) ÷ 0.5, rounded up. A location at 4.2★ with 100 reviews needs about 60. It is an estimate: Google shows ratings rounded to one decimal, and it assumes every new review is 5★. For other targets, use the star rating calculator.

Chains answer more reviews than independents, at least in self-storage: in our sample of 1,746 facilities, chain locations replied to 91.8% of the reviews we sampled and independents to 69.6%. Full numbers are in the Google review benchmarks.

Frequently asked questions

How do I see Google reviews for all my locations in one place?

Type your brand name in the check above. It lists every location Google Maps shows for that name, with its rating and review count, in one table. To read and answer every review at every location, connect your Google Business Profile to ReputeMap (free 14-day trial).

Why are some of my locations missing?

One Google Maps search returns up to 60 places, and the check keeps only places with your brand in the name or your website. Add a city or state to check one area at a time, or type your website instead of the name.

Is this data live?

Yes. Ratings and review counts come from Google Maps when you run the check. A result is kept in memory for up to an hour, so a repeat check is instant. Nothing is saved to a database.

Why can't I see which reviews have no reply?

Google's public data shows ratings and counts, but not the owner's replies. You see every review, every reply and how fast each location answers after you connect your Google Business Profile.

How many checks can I run?

Each check is a live Google lookup, free with no signup, and free Google lookups are limited each day and shared by our free tools. After that, start the free trial: it shows every review at every location, not just the numbers.
