Google Review Link Generator

Turn your Google Business Profile into a direct “leave a review” link and a printable QR poster — so customers review you in two taps.

Don't know it? Open the free Google Place ID Finder, search your business, and paste the ID that starts with ChIJ.

What to do with your review link

A direct review link removes the biggest reason customers don't leave reviews: friction. Put the QR poster on your counter, receipts and table tents (our QR code generator prints table tents and sticker sheets too — see the QR code guide for placement ideas), add the link to invoice footers and follow-up emails, and ask at the moment of happiness — right after a good visit. Our guide to getting more Google reviews covers the honest, FTC-compliant playbook, and review request software can send the asks for you automatically.

The official Google review link — and when to use this generator instead

Google has its own version of this: in the Business Profile manager, the “Ask for reviews” button produces a short g.page/r/… link, and Google added a built-in QR code option as well. Both land customers on the same review form as the link built here. Rule of thumb: logged into your own profile and need one link? Use Google's. Need a link without profile access (a client's business, an agency workflow), a printable counter poster, or links for several locations in one sitting? That's what this generator is for.

How to send it — three lines that work

Copy, paste, replace the link. Sent right after the visit, direct asks convert best:

  • Text/WhatsApp: “Thanks for coming in today! If you have 30 seconds, a Google review would mean a lot: [your link]”
  • Email footer: “Happy with our work? Leave us a quick Google review — it takes two taps: [your link]”
  • Receipt/invoice: “Scan to tell Google how we did →” next to the QR poster from this page.

Review link not working?

Nine times out of ten it isn't broken — you're testing it while signed in as the business owner, and Google hides the review form from you on purpose. Full diagnosis in Google review link not working: 7 causes. The short version:

  • Test it in incognito with a different Google account — Google won't show the review form to the account that owns the business, so it looks broken to you but works for customers.
  • Check the Place ID — it should start with ChIJ; a truncated paste is the most common genuinely broken link.
  • Check the profile itself — unverified or suspended profiles can't take reviews at all.

Now get those reviews on autopilot

ReputeMap emails review requests for you, hands out QR codes per location, and pings you the instant a 1–3★ review lands — for one business or all your clients.

Frequently asked questions

How do I make a direct Google review link?

Every Google Business Profile has a Place ID. Paste it (or your existing review URL) above and this tool builds the direct https://search.google.com/local/writereview?placeid=… link that opens the review box straight away — no searching for your business.

Where do I find my Google Place ID?

Use Google's free Place ID Finder (developers.google.com/maps/documentation/places/web-service/place-id) — search your business and copy the ID that starts with ChIJ. Or paste a review link you already have.

Is the QR code free to use?

Yes — download or print the poster and put it on your counter, receipt, or table tent. Customers scan it and land straight on your Google review form.

Is there an official Google review link?

Yes — in your Google Business Profile manager, the “Ask for reviews” button gives you Google's own short link (g.page/r/…), and Google now offers a built-in QR code too. It goes to the same review form as the link this generator builds. Use the official one when you're logged into your profile; use this generator when you need a link for any business by Place ID, a printable poster, or links for multiple locations at once.

Why is my Google review link not working?

Three usual causes: the Place ID is wrong or truncated (it should start with ChIJ), the Business Profile is unverified or suspended (the review form won't load), or the customer isn't signed into a Google account — Google requires one to leave a review. Test your link in an incognito window; if the profile itself is the problem, see our guide on Google reviews not showing up.

How do I get more reviews after this?

A link is step one. ReputeMap automatically emails review requests to your customers, gives you QR codes per location, and alerts you the moment a negative review lands — start a free trial.
